Bond Block Introduction
Hosted by the Mathematical Association of Western Australia (MAWA) and presented by Narelle Rice.

The Bond Blocks Core Intervention Kit is a resource of over 100 sequenced activities to comprehensively build understanding and fluency with basic addition and subtraction including application to related pre-algebra and word problems. This resource sequentially covers all addition and subtraction content descriptors from Years 1 to 3.
The Bond Blocks system has two targeted uses:
1) As part of a whole school approach to Mental Maths in Years 1 to 3.
2) As an Intervention Support System for students in Years 1 to 6 who count to add and subtract. The Bond Blocks Test is used for placement and monitoring.
Every activity is completed on one, reusable A3 board, by pairs/individuals, is modelled in a short video and has online teacher notes. Have a look at the activity notes and videos at bondblocks.com
