Intervention in Mathematics Workshop (North Metro)

Join us for a practical “hands-on” Mathematics workshop with the states leading Mathematics specialist, author and highly sought after speaker.

There are many tools in literacy to support students struggling in literacy, but very few in mathematics. Paul Swan and Narelle Rice, will share some tell-tale signs that students will struggle in mathematics or are already struggling in maths. Clearly prevention is better than cure, so practical advice will be given for nipping misconceptions in the bud and then some further ideas for intervening in addition and subtraction will be provided. Note this session will include some material that is freely available to download from bondblocks.com, so feel free to explore this website before attending.
