Making the most of maths games to develop fluency

In this ‘hands-on’ workshop session for primary school teachers of all year levels, Dr Paul Swan will share his ideas and valuable insights on easy-to-teach maths games featuring dice, cards and other simple materials.

Featured games will support a wide range of content from general maths literacy to money, time and number concepts such as division.

In addition, Dr Swan will show how games can easily be differentiated to suit a wide range of year levels from Foundation to Year 6.

All participants will receive a FREE Maths Book by Dr Paul Swan as well as the opportunity to take home maths materials that can be directly applied in the classroom.

About Paul Swan

Dr Paul Swan is an honorary fellow of the Australian College of Educational Leadership, a life member of the Mathematical Association, award-winning author, highly sought-after speaker and designer of games, programs and materials to support teachers to teach mathematics in an interesting way. He has taught in primary, secondary and tertiary settings and is now a consultant to local, national and international schools. He is a designer of mathematics manipulative materials and support materials for the top manufacturers in the world.
