Playing with Place Value @ AISWA
Description
Place value is one of the important big ideas in mathematics to understand well. In this hands-on workshop, we will play with a variety of materials that will develop a better understanding for the aspects of place value and, in particular, the difference between an additive and multiplicative place value task. A Place Value Year Planner will be used by participants to map their place value journey.
Participants will receive a complete Place Value Year Planner set, a ‘Playing with Place Value’ book and some Place Value materials.
