Each month I receive lots of email questions. One that regularly comes up relates to the use of PowerPoint slides, particularly as a form of Daily Review.
At the outset let me state that I am not anti-PowerPoint. Like textbooks, PowerPoint can serve a purpose – but overuse or indiscriminate or improper use can do more harm than good.
One claim for using PowerPoint reviews is that it reduced cognitive load. This very much relies on how the PowerPoint is created and used.
