This day will include theory punctuated with short, simple warm up routines to help with planning and time management.
You will receive a set of Milestones linked to the new WA Maths Curriculum and a clear sequence for developing basic number Fact Knowledge (all four operations).
Topics to be covered:
- What is the difference between Mental Maths and Basic Facts?
- The link between Understanding and Fluency
- The Teach Practise Apply Sequence.
- The difference between Practise and Intelligent Practise
- Setting Benchmarks and ways of assessing progress.
