(Geraldton) Paul Swan PL: The Impacts of Literacy on Numeracy
In this session Dr Paul Swan will share three different literacies that will impact on the way students interpret and understand word questions.
Attendees will partipate in a few practical tasks and activities for improving mathematical literacy to leave students in a better position to tackle words questions. (Note this session will touch on but not deal with the structure of word questions. This will be the subject of a follow up PL.)
